

Buddy was born February 6, 1958 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Philip Copeland Hatch and Marie Cook Hatch. He graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1976 and continued his education at Southeastern Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Following graduation, he entered the NC Police Academy and served several years as a BSL Police officer. Warren spent the last 20 years employed at Corning Inc. in Wilmington. He married the love of his life, Suzanne Margaret Bowmer in 1979 and their love story continued for 36 years. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend who loved unconditionally and gave selflessly. He constantly shared his faith and love of the Bible, drawing many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rebekah Elizabeth Hatch and his sister Shirley Vititoe.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne; children Joanna and husband Eric Saunders, Christina and husband Drew Trask, Jonathan and his wife Sara Smith, and Katelyn Elizabeth Hatch; his granddaughter Alyvia Grace; and his sister Sharon Darst.
Services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Southport Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1-2pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sharing months of medical costs accumulated from hospital and doctor's visits.
In the end, Warren can truly say," I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
