William John "Bill" Ringenbach, 74 of St. James, quietly departed this life on Saturday, November 23, 2019, surrounded by his loving wife, Sandy and their children, Scott Ringenbach, his wife Lindsey and Tammi Newton, and her husband Alec, at the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia, NC.

Mr. Ringenbach, was born December 21, 1944 in Rockville Center, NY to the late William A. Ringenbach and Helen Baumann Ringenbach. Bill was the proud co-owner of Tech Electric in Raleigh for 16 years. He and his wife retired to St. James in 1999 so that Bill could pursue his passion for golf and the beach. Bill truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; his many travels with Sandy, and many vacations with his family, sharing conversation and dinners with his friends. Bill was a member of three golfing groups and valued their friendship. Bill also shared his passion for NASCAR with his lifelong friends Sal and Kevin, and his son Scott.

In addition to his wife and children, Bill is survived by the loves of his life, his three grandchildren, Max, Bode, and Tucker. Bill will be sorely missed by his family and his extended family that he would spend every August with in Indian Lake, NY.

The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home in Southport from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Fire Department, 3628 St. James Drive, St. James, NC 28461.

Dear Sandy,
Words cannot express the sadness Bernie and I feel for you , Scott and Tammy. Through all of my text messages with Bill and his struggle with this, he always seemed so upbeat . It was a shock when I received the call from Alec. God bless you and your family. Bill will always be in our hearts.
Love Bernie and Rich

Sandy and Family,

Irene and I are so very sorry we are unable to attend your visitation on Monday.

People are fortunate to have several really great friends in their life time. I feel so fortunate to have known Bill and consider him a great friend for the 12 years I resided in St. James. He was always there to answer one of my questions on how something worked or help me when I needed any type of help and always someone I could count on at any time. I missed his friendship in the last 6 years since I left St. James.

Irene and I only wish the best for you and your family going forward.

May Bill rest in peace.

We are extremely sorry for your loss

All our love,
Barry Goldman and Irene Chandler

We met Bill and Sandy in 2001 while embarking on an Africa trip to Kenya and Tanzania. They were landing in D.C. after our flight, so we asked what they looked like so we would be sure and see them for our flight to London. They responded: Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford. Needless to say that when they landed we had our posters with the appropriate pictures ready. It was loads of fun and the trip went great, except for some lost luggage. Bill never met a stranger. He was funny and gracious, helpful and always with a piece of chewing gum in his mouth. They helped make the trip a riot and along the way we made some really good friends. Sharing a table at the Boundary House twice a year was something we both looked forward to. Thanks for the memories. Bill will be missed more than we can say. Love you both.

I have so many great memories of Bill traveling to XC and TF meets, always supporting our team. His kind words to me each race have stuck with me through the years. He just had such a great smile and upbeat attitude. He will forever have a place in my heart ! I will be thinking of ALL of you through this difficult time.
