

Mr. Rose was born March 30, 1956, son of the late Romie Vernon and Betty Denton Rose. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Rose worked as a police officer for the Rocky Mount Police Department for 22 years. He and his wife Debi enjoyed traveling together, especially on cruises. He loved to snake hunt with his best friend Frank Phelps, play Wii with his number 1 partner Chanler, and fish. Mr. Rose was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dallas Coleman.
Survivors include his wife Debi Rose Of Oak Island; two sons, Michael Rose and wife Lisa of Clayton, NC and David Rose and fiancé Sheena Rowsey of Bolivia; sister Linda Wells and husband Bobby of Rocky Mount, NC; mother-in-law Alva Coleman of Southport; four grandsons, Chanler Rose, Hayden Rose, Trevor Rose, and Hunter Rose; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00pm Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service.
The family will receive friends from 6-7pm at the funeral home.
