Willie Brooks Hall Sr.

Mr. Hall was born February 6, 1945. son of the late Robert Willie Hall and Virginia Bates Hall. Willie was the son of a sharecropper with a limited education. He worked to become a welder for the US Government, in the General Dynamics Electric Boat division in Groton, CT with 25 years of service. He was a plumber, electrician, auto mechanic, owning his own garage, and later became the best Stihl chainsaw mechanic ever at ACE Hardware in Yanceyville, NC.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Hall; four children, Willie B. Hall, Jr., Lisa M. Arruda and husband Jim, Todd A. Hall and wife Kerry, and Sheri Hooks and husband Eric; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Hall and Jimmy Hall; and a sister, Patricia Hall. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Mann.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Yanceyville, NC.
