I was prompted to seek out Chris’s book which I happily managed to find online. Having worked as a school teacher for many years and also growing up in the 70’s and attending state schools with various  ‘schools council’ projects, I found Chris’s book very interesting to look through.  I am sure this was just one of many activities that he got involved in.

I first met Chris and family around 20 years ago probably near the time when Josh first came to live in the UK.  It was actually rather lovely meeting another branch of the family with which we had had little contact and this was  heart warming after the passing of my own parents Bernard and Margaret (Reiss). This photo is possibly  not the finest one of Chris but it is the only one I have and was taken near Tate Modern in very early 2020.  On the few occasions I met Chris he was always so engaging and interesting to talk to and full of anecdotes with plenty of detail and humour. I send my fond condolences to all the family. Matt Reiss

Uncle Chris shared his love of nature with so many of us. He gave me so many happy days out on his boat while I was growing up. I will carry those fond memories with me always. Thinking of the whole family at this sad time.

Uncle Chris and Aunt Judith came over for a short visit to us in Denmark in 2008, I think. I remember Emily being mightily impressed by how tall Chris was. This picture is taken on the wall outside Kronborg Slot - better known as Hamlet's castle!

Chris was a steadfast leader who worked so diligently for his fellow faculty members and his students.  With a great sense of humor he demonstrated his strong support for the common good .  His love for his w ife and family were such a part of him.  All of us are fortunate to have known him    My sincere sympathies go out to
