Diane G Kurtz

Diane Kurtz was born in New York City on 8/19/1939 to Edith Salmowitz and David Levine, their only child. After her father died in an accident, Edith married Harry Giffords, who adopted Diane and always treated her as his own daughter with much love. Later Diane's brother, Bruce Giffords, came along. Diane and her high school sweetheart, Gerald Kurtz, married on 6/21/1959. They had a beautiful family together, first in Forest Hills and then on Long Island, New York, and finally in Hialeah, Florida. Diane raised three extraordinary children: Sabrina, whose name became Sabrina Kurtz-Rossi when she married; Adam Kurtz; and Glenn Kurtz. Sabrina gave Diane two grandchildren: Allegra and Carson. Glenn gave Diane another grandchild: Anabelle. Adam gave Diane two more grandchildren: Mariel and Arie, Diane's descendants span the United States, from Maine to Atlanta, from the East Coast to Hawaii. Diane's love for her family was unfailing from first to last. Her great priority was always keeping the family together through thick and thin. She was a talented artist, as those she gifted with her beautiful paintings and colorful quilts can attest, and a property owner and businesswoman with strong math and people skills. She had a lifelong marriage with Jerry for 64 years. She died on 8/8/2023 with her family at her side. Rest in peace, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. We will miss you always.
