Ellen Jean (Polow) Schonberg, of Weston, Florida passed away on September 18, 2025 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Ellen grew up in West Orange, New Jersey the daughter of Ben and Buddy Polow and the sister of Peter Polow.
In 1962, she married Ira Schonberg, having two children, Susie, in 1963 and Jeffrey, in 1967. They lived in Livingston, New Jersey until 1972, when they moved to Plantation, Florida.
Ellen will be remembered for her gregariousness, friendliness and her love of family. She made friends everywhere she went.
She is survived by her husband, Ira; her children, Jeffrey and Susie; her four grandchildren, Simon, Nate, Zane, and Sebastian; and her brother, Peter.
A memorial will be held on Wednesday, September 24 at Menorah Gardens and Funeral Chapels, 21100 Griffin Rd, Southwest Ranches, FL 33332 at 2:00pm. Friends and family are invited to attend.
