Hey Liam and Patrick

I don’t know if you remember me, but my name is Evan and I used to play baseball with Liam as my teammate and Patrick as my coach. I remember all the fun memories we had on that team and I wish I could go back to it for just one day. I remember when we won the playoffs and I was so happy to be apart of the team. I want to start off by saying that I hope you and your family are all doing fantastic and I wanna give my biggest condolences to your late brother/son. I was unfortunately never able to meet the guy but I’m sure he was an awesome man and father and it saddens me that he was lost to soon. I hope that you all live wonderful lives and that you can all continue to be great people.

Hey Patrick, I remember the office conversations through the years of your sons growing up and the softball days on to the most recent chat of how Ethan made you a proud grandpa. My prayers are with you and your family wishing you peace and strength, and may the memories of the time you had bring you comfort.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Ethan from the halls of West Broward. I was not one of his teachers, but he had such a pleasant smile that it made an impression on me. I ran into him at Publix one day and although I could not place him, he recognized me from West Broward.  Some of the young gentlemen at West Broward hold the doors for teachers. Ethan was one of these gentlemen.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficulty time. God bless!

Dear Lourdes, Patrick, and Liam: 

Our family is heartbroken at the loss of your son and brother Ethan to this tragic accident. How do we make sense of all this? We are grieving with you and praying that God will give you wisdom and strength during this difficult time.  

Lourdes, while we watched from afar, we were amazed by your dedication as a mother and deep down knew and understood that you would be a great mother to boys and it has been such a pleasure to watch. From the time we played in the yard as children, I got to experience so many joyful memories with you and your sister. The little sisters who always smiled and laughed together. And then I met your brother Leandrito and I was absolutely smitten. I felt a special bond with him and knew it couldn't just be coincidence that I adored him like my own brother. When I had my last son Julian, you reciprocated your love for boys and said, "What I love the most about boys is their dirty fingernails because it means they were playing outside and it's just so cute!" So it didn't surprise me that you would be the ultimate mother to Ethan and Liam, creating those special memories that bonds you to them forever in a way that time and space could never break. You will always have that special bond. They will always be with you.

As best as we can understand, Ethan has been recruited. He transcended youthfully like Saint Carlo Acutis to be an angel and a guide for boys and young men as they enter adulthood. And he did it in the best way. He ran toward his destiny, and has joined his uncle Leandro in God's army. 

And as his mother and personal hero, you can proudly cheer him on from this world until the day we come into full understanding of God's purpose for all of us in the afterlife.

Dear Lourdes and family, we can't even imagine what you are enduring right now, please, hold onto those memories, all of them, they'll take you through this, the unimaginable. I am so lucky to have gotten to know Ethan Lawrence as a cross country/track teammate and a friend.  Ethan was an amazingly-dedicated person and ALWAYS sought to improve into a better & faster runner.  His passion for running was so obvious, even in his first days on the team as a freshman.  It was so great to see him go from a highschool runner to continuing his passion in college.  But above that, Ethan was just a great person - so sweet, caring, and always had something funny to say.  

In our 2020 XC season, I got to spend some extra time with Ethan as we often drove together to practice.  I remember those rides fondly as it allowed me to spend more time with one of my good friends during that crazy year.  Ethan was always so appreciative & gracious, and I'm so glad I spent that time with him.  I will always remember that.

All my condolences to Ethan's family.  His absence will be felt by all, and all my thoughts and prayers go out to you all.   But Ethan is still here, watching over & protecting all of you.  God Bless all of you.

My family was broken when my son Leandro Avila was killed in a car accident.
When my first-born grandson, Ethan, was brought into this world, his Angelic presence made this family whole again.
Later he opened the Heavens to send us 3 more Angels.
Now our lives are shattered again.
I thank God for the 19 years He gave us peace and happiness.

Dear Lourdes,
It has been a long time since we spoke but I remember you as a great mom, always caring for your sons and being involved in their lives, as I did for mine. I'm not even sure if you know I also lost my oldest son Michael in 2020, after an accident in 2020. I share your pain. I know what it's like to lose a child. Your world will never be the same. Grief is like the ocean, it comes in waves, sometimes you will feel  like you are drowning! I have been there myself. None of us know why these things happen, we make plans and God decides. Stay strong and be thankful for the memories. All we have is the present moment! So sorry for your loss!

Like a former boss at Publix store # 743, in short time Ethan showed up very nice and  did a very accurate job. Barely 2 weeks he worked with meat department, and we had very nice experience  for him. We are very sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace, Ethan.
