
Grace Roth, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the age of 102. Mrs. Roth was born in the Bronx, NY on December 20, 1913. She attended Evander Childs High School and was a member of the Arista honors society. Mrs. Roth declined admission to Barnard University and instead worked as a bookkeeper for a number of companies, including Monet Jewelers. She married Charles Roth on July 22, 1937 at City Hall in New York City. They were married for 63 years until Mr. Roth passed away in 2001. The couple lived in the Washington Heights section of New York City until retiring to Deerfield Beach, Florida in 1975, where she lived until her death. Mrs. Roth was a lover of the performing arts, who greatly enjoyed classical music and the theater, and a lifetime member and advocate for Hadassah. She was a gracious hostess and devoted friend to scores of people that she met in her 40 years living in Florida, mostly at Century Village in Deerfield Beach. She is survived by her two sons: Paul and Donald, three grandchildren, Peter, Rosalind and Scott, and two daughter-in-laws, Kathryn and Alice.
The funeral service and burial will be on March 23, 2016 at 12 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel located at 7701 Bailey Rd., N. Lauderdale, Fl. 33068
