After honeymooning in Miami with husband Eugene (Gene) Sorosky, they instantly fell in love with the city and decided to call it their home in 1954. Jeri’s greatest joy was spending time with Gene and their family attending South Florida sporting events, including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, University of Miami Canes and Florida Panthers.
Gene was the love of her life whom she met at Roosevelt University, and they spent 63 loving years together. After graduating, Jeri received her Master of Education at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and later earned her doctorate degree at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). Jeri was a lifelong learner, teacher and intellect who touched the lives of many throughout her long career as an educator.
