I will always remember how welcome I felt at the Haas residence in Irving.
I know time has marched on, but I remember the days when the Haas family in Irving was Leo, Rachel, Rodney, Micheline and Ducky.
It was an adventure of learning where Leo's auctioneering took him throughout the U.S.
Rachel and Leo, if asked,  had stories to tell about their very real struggle for survival during WWII and their journey through multiple countries until making it to the U.S.
Leo and Rachel accomodated the teenage interests of Rodney's tinkering with electronics, stereos and computers. At times they had to yell upstairs above the stereo cranking out Billy Joel, Elton John, Cat Stevens, and Micheline's Beatles albums to let us know that dinner was ready. 
To the Haas and Hanser families - Please accept my deepest sympathies.
