I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mother.  Shirley was a wonderful neighbour, who was always good to me.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

My husband and I saw Shirley at Marland Place a few years ago when my mother moved in and we were surprised that my husband knew her from Medford many years ago.  We all used to talk and hug whenever we saw her. She was a staunch advocate of the residents of Marland Place doing everything in her power to hold Atria Marland Place accountable for what they represented themselves to be.  She also had many friends and support staff who loved her, my mother being one of them.  Shirley was an avid reader and seemed to be happy doing things in her own way to feel better about living away from her home in FL. We so enjoyed taking her off the premises to join our family for each of the Jewish Holidays, something that was very important to her.  She loved being with us and eating the traditional Jewish meals and reminiscing with us about how her family customs compared with ours around growing up Jewish and observing the holidays.
She will be sorely missed from both my family and the family at Marland Place.
She loved her family and grandchildren with all her heart.  Rest in Peace Shirley.
