Hamburg, NJ- Agnes C (Ronecker) Pires, entered into eternal life peacefully on May 31, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was 90. Agnes was born in Newark, NJ to Frederick and Agnes (McAllister) Ronecker. She was raised in Newark and had resided in Rockaway for many years prior to Hamburg. Agnes was best known to people as the secretary to the school principals at Thomas Jefferson School in Rockaway Borough. She enjoyed participating in the Rockaway Seniors during her time there. Predeceasing Agnes was her husband, John Hooper in 1958, and her second husband Antonio Pires in 2000. She is survived by her loving son; John Hooper of Hamburg, previously of Sparta, and loving daughter; Christina Gordon and husband Dennis of Stockholm, NJ. Cherished grandchildren; Jacqueline M. Santobianco, John Michael Hooper, Rachel A. Killeen, and Christy M. Graham who is expecting Agnes's first great grandchild. Friends and family are invited Wednesday, 2~4 6~8pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. A 10 am Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Hamburg, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East. Hanover, NJ. Tina and John and all your family from Aunt Teresa, Bob and Terri and all our family we are grieving the loss of Aunt Agnes but know that she is with all our past family. She was a very special woman and we will miss her with all our hearts. Just know that she sees all that is happening and she is proud of all of you for the love you have given her.
