Dear Kathy and John:
I was sorry to hear of your Dads death. He was a good friend to Art and I.
Growing up in Morris Plains,as we all did.Laurie Ford was the big business in town.I remember your dad with his shiny loafers clicking in front of the showroom.Do you remember his walk ,with cleats on his heels.(common practice to save leather on the heels.)
We became good friends with Ruth And Alex.I gave your mom a baby shower when she was expecting you Kathy.Ruth gave me one while I was waiting for Scott.
Alex and Sandy visited with Art and I while Art was still alive, they also came to see me in Florida.
We all have great memories of both Mom & Dad.
Love, Valerie Windt

Pop-pop was always there for me throughout my life. He brought my mother and I up from Florida to stay with him and Nana when my mother had to leave her 2nd husband. I was 11 years old and needed my family. That was the best time of my life. I loved being with them and they helped me grow. Every morning staying there I would wake up to the smell of coffee and bacon that Nana was making while Pop-pop was getting ready for the day. At night when he came home they had their cocktails and snacks while Nana was making dinner. We would sit together and talk about our day. Nana and Pop-pop loved each other so much and had such a great routine everyday. I looked up to them and hoped I would have a marriage like theirs. Rest in Peace, Pop-pop. I love you so very much.
