

Lake Hopatcong, NJ- Alice “Ali” Suchomel (Lensinboltz) 91, passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013 in Newton, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Newark, NJ to Louis and Loretta (Hunger) Lensinboltz. Ali graduated from Irvington High School and worked in the printing industry, retiring from Prudential Insurance, where she made several Life-Long friends. Ali and her husband Bill, enjoyed traveling and made several cross-country trips. She was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed needle crafts, and gardening. In later years, Ali knitted afghans, scarves, and hats which she donated to children’s groups. Each generation of nieces and nephews was treated to her annual "Aunt Ali's Christmas party". She delighted in shopping and giving gifts,especially at Christmas. Though the years, Ali followed baseball and was a loyal NY Yankees fan. Ali enjoyed a beautiful view from her home on the lake where she lived independently with help of friends and neighbors, Flip, Claudette and Donna. Ali was always willing to listen, always understanding, and always accepting. She was a positive force in many lives. Ali asked that we not mourn her passing, but rather celebrate her life.
In addition to her parents, Ali was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, in 1985, sister Loretta Stults, brothers in law; Dan Stults, and Jack Fenzel and a nephew; Ken Lensinboltz. Ali is survived by two sisters; Marie (Joe) Griswold of Somerset, NJ, Jeanne Fenzel of Vestal, NY, a brother; Joe (Dottie) Lensinboltz of Richmond , VA. Also surviving are 10 adoring nieces and nephews, Godson: Ron Bauer, Barb (Ken) Blackwell, Patti (Allen) Blide, Carol (Flavio) Talarico, Dawn (Chuck) Ciringione, Debbie (Steve) Fenzel-Alexander, Linda (Dave) Hamill, Jeff Fenzel, Joe (Beth) Griswold, and Karen Bowles. In addition, Aunt Ali leaves behind several great nieces and nephews, and their growing families. The family would like to thank Ali’s friend, Kathy Rubin and her family, who became a part of her extended family. Friends and family are invited from 4 ~ 7 pm Thursday to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ. A 10 AM funeral home service
will be celebrated Friday followed by interment in Sparta Cemetery. Memorial contributions are being accepted to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
