Sparta, NJ- Alison Walker suddenly passed away at her residence on Wednesday July 19, 2017. She was 57. She was born in Paterson, NJ to Charles and Ruth (Van Emburgh) Walker and has resided in Sparta for the past 24 years. She previously lived in Little Falls and Franklin Lakes. Alison was a self- employed entrepreneur and most recently worked as a certified nursing assistant at The Homestead in Newton. She is predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Cathy Spencer in 2009. Surviving is her husband of 15 years, Stephen Lawton. One brother, Chud Walker of West Milford, and One sister, Tracy Walker of Pompton Plains. Family and friends are invited Monday July 24, 2017 2~6 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation is private.Following the services the family will gather at the Village Saloon to continue the celebration of life.
