My grandfather, Drew Calandriello, (our Popee). A man who gave all of himself, loved, accepted, and welcomed everyone into his life and his home, taught by example, lived a life of service, a man who always knew how to make people feel heard, understood, special, and safe. A man of true faith, transparency, and dignity. I will never forget visiting the sick and lonely with you as a child every Saturday, baking “Popee’s bread”, blasting and singing Sinatra and La Boheme along with you and Nanee, calling you to side with me when my mom (rightfully) said no to me, having the courage to allow me to drive your car on Alfano Road at 12 years of age, so so much. You “lived a life that was full, you traveled each and every highway, you did it “your way”, and your way was the best way. You mean the world to me and to all the people who are most important to me. I am beyond blessed to call you Grandfather. I am comforted knowing that you are now at peace and with the greatest love of your life. You will forever be in my heart and by my side.

Deacon Drew and his beloved Mary were such a vibrant part of our St Kateri family.    I will miss his inspiring words and gentle ways.   Rest in the arms of our Lord Deacon Drew.    You are loved and missed.   

Dear Nancy, Peter, Frankie & Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Drew meant a lot to all of us. He was always there when you needed him and went above and beyond to help others. He also always gave advice when asked. He did a lot for the church and I will always remember when he included family memories in his homilies. I loved listening to the stories of him and his brother and sisters growing up and how they always teased each other. He also spoke of the love his parents had for each other. Even though I never met my grandparents, I got a sense of the loving people they were. You can tell there was a lot of love in their house. I will also miss their yearly Christmas parties and going back to their house after midnight mass for zeppoles. He is now reunited with Aunt Mary who would have been married 70 years. That's a long time. Not many people stay married that long, but Uncle Drew & Aunt Mary made it work. They complimented each other very well. While we have a huge loss, Heaven received an angel and I'm sure he will continue to help others there as well. I know he will be watching over us and guiding us along the way. We love you Uncle Drew.
