Benjamin "Ben" Peranio

Ben was an exceptional boyfriend, father, son, and friend. It was only two months ago that Ben was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Although Cancer is what took him away from this world so soon, his loving heart has left an everlasting light for his many friends and family who surrounded him to hold onto.

Ben is predeceased by his loving Mother Mildred Peranio, Aunts: Alice Gehman, Pamela Lange, Gene Lange, and Uncle Benjamin DeBello.

He is survived by his Father Michael Peranio, Daughter Lia Peranio, and Son Brandon Peranio, his Girlfriend and caregiver Susan Zaniewski, her daughters Jenna and Katie Bakstad and Amy Zaniewski, Uncle Edward Peranio his Aunt Carol and Uncle Wayne Whittaker, cousins Kimberly Holland, Kyle Holland, Wayne Holland, Nicole Holland, Tracey Scaglione, Michael Scaglione, Alana Scaglione, Gianna Adams, Audrianna Adams, Stephen Glogowicz, Mildred Glogowicz, Lori Hoffman, Jason and Sherry Gehmann, Danny DeBello, Frederick DeBello, Sharon DeBello, Dennis DeBello, Benji DeBello, Richard Flick, Mary Flick, Nicole Flick, Eric Flick and many, many more. Ben was born into a large Italian family who will miss his presence beyond belief.

Ben was the owner of Spruce Auto located in Boonton. He was incredibly talented; yet very humble and not one to brag about the unbelievably exquisite transformations he worked on over the years.

Many referred to Ben as the gentle giant. He had a heart of pure gold and there wasn’t a mean bone in his body. He was strong willed, had a witty sense of humor and showed his love through acts of service. He will be greatly missed but remembered through the stories his family and friends have to share about him.

Visitation for Ben will be held on Monday, August 28th from 4 - 8PM at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St.,Sparta, NJ. Cremation will be held privately.
