Carmen Pena

On Monday, December 7, 2020, Carmen Pena passed away from heart failure at Newton Hospital in Newton, NJ. She was 84 years old. She was a resident of Sparta, NJ.

Carmen Cadavid y Pena was born on September 30, 1936 in Gary, Indiana. Her parents were mother Avelina Tato y Cadavid (1915-1974) and father Manuel Cadavid y Tato (1900-1969) who were from Pontevedra, Galicia in Spain.

1955, She Graduated from Horace Mann High School.

1960, she graduated from Gary Business College.

1963 She lived in Galicia, Spain with her maternal Uncle Manuel and Aunt Dolores.

Around 1957-8, she met her future husband Etelvino Pena when he was visiting relatives in Indiana. She traveled to Argentina where Etelvino was living and they were married 1966 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Camen & Etelvino have three sons and two grandchildren who survive them. The eldest, Rolando the born on 1967 in Argentina. Their other two sons are Hernan and Roberto and two Grandchildren are Avelina and Roland Pena.

Carmen's husband, Etelvino, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. One week before she passed away.
