Carolyn A. Norman

Born and raised in Hoboken, NJ, Carolyn moved to Lake Swannanoa, Oak Ridge at the age of 13. She graduated from Franklin High School and then Dover Business School before working as a secretary at Reaction Motors.

In 1962, she met Donald E. Norman, whom she would later marry on August 4,1963. Together they built a home, and raised their family in Oak Ridge. Carolyn was a stay at home mom until her children were older. She was dedicated to her children, volunteering for Cub Scouts and as a leader for Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was also a Homeroom Mother for all three of her children.

She ultimately went back to work as an administrative assistant at Picatinny Arsenal. Upon her retirement, she opened her dream business with a friend - Party Palace in Oak Ridge. As a business owner, she served on the Chamber of Commerce, and later became their president. In 2013 Carolyn and her beloved dog, Eddie moved to Monroe Township, NJ, where over the course of twelve years , she made many new friends, participated in card clubs and swim clubs and served as an activity and party planner for her friends.

Carolyn loved to decorate, landscape, cook and entertain. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good practical joke.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald E. Norman, Sr. in 2009, her parents, Michael and Julia, and her brother, Michael Esposito, as well as her beloved Eddie, Carolyn is survived by her children, Kathleen Greene with her husband Bart, Donald Norman, Jr. with his wife Teleen, and Patricia Moraski with her husband Scott. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Norman (Megan), Julianna Lynn Moraski, Alison Norman - Sheeder (Kyle), and Tyler Greene and her great - granddaughter, Bailey Norman.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871.
