Dave was born to Edward and Dorothy Meyer Lind on August 26, 1963, in Newton, New Jersey. After the Lind family moved to Sparta, Dave enjoyed all the benefits of growing up lakeside in Sparta -- swimming, fishing, biking and winter snurfing. He attended Sparta public schools, graduating from Sparta High in 1981. He then received his B.S degree in Finance from the University of Maryland (“Go Terps”).
Upon graduation, Dave began his lifetime career at Merrill Lynch. While employed, he had the opportunity to travel places like Venezuela and Uruguay. Dave retired from Merrill Lynch/Bank of America in 2023, after 38 years.
In 2009, while employed at Merrill Lynch, he re-connected with Gina Lyons after many years since working together and they quickly fell in love and have been married since 2012.
Dave was an avid sports and music fan. He could be found on any given weekend either attending a Rutgers football game - with his 20+ years season tickets - or watching college football at home. If none were to be found, Dave would find interest in any televised sports event.
As for music, Dave enjoyed a vast array from Big Band and American Standards to AM radio, Yacht Rock, SoRo and, of course, the Little River Band.
David is survived by his loving wife Gina, sister Susan (Scott), brothers Carl (Mary), Mark (Diane) and Jamey, nephew Brad and nieces Alicia, Anna, Meghan and Kendra.
David was predeceased by his parents and first wife, Patricia.
Fondly known as "Mundo," Dave will be missed by the legions of friends from all areas of his life; school, work, the OBX gang, the Rutgers tailgate crew, and his lifelong Sparta friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ.
