Dolores Theresa Daly

Dolores T. Daly, 91 of Oak Ridge, NJ passed away on November 30, 2019. A 1950 graduate of The City College of New York, Dolores went on to work in New York’s fashion industry as a clothing buyer. Later in life Dolores returned to college to obtain her teaching degree and taught high school business classes in Ridgewood and Montclair, NJ. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her husband and playing golf at their homes in New Jersey and Florida. She was an avid reader and loved football. She and Phil annually planned a “cousins party” at Camp Nyoda for the family to enjoy a day of rope climbing, fishing, swimming and boating. She enjoyed spending time with her children and 13 grandchildren. Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband Philip of 66 years and their daughter Noreen Elizabeth Carlson. She is survived by her devoted children Kathryn Jankowski and her husband Peter, Greg Daly and his wife Peggy, Jo Ann Snoddy and her husband Stewart and youngest son Thomas Daly. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Nora, Kaitlyn and husband Dustin, Douglas, Ryan, Olivia and husband Michael, Michael, Megan, Sarah, Erin, Fiona, Devin, Diana, and Brian. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4 – 8PM at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 294 S. Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Operation Second Chance or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Newton, NJ.
