Dorothy Elliott (nee Talmage) passed peacefully in her sleep on October 29, 2025 at Forrest Manor Healthcare Center in Blairstown, NJ. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister and friend. Born on May 3, 1942 in Franklin, NJ, she graduated from Holy Name and became a nurse. Dorothy worked in the maternity ward at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, where she loved caring for newborns until she married George Elliot, the love of her life, in 1975. Dot was a devoted stay at home mother. She loved her family, friends and a good conversation. Dot loved crafting, not just for her enjoyment, but to spread happiness to those around her.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jean & Marie, her siblings William Talmage & Eileen Corallo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends, including those that she made at Forrest Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband George Elliott, daughter Maggie Johnson (Elliott), and brother Carl Talmage.
