Douglas J. Milway, passed away on February 5, 2019 at his home in Brick, N.J. He was born on March 3, 1940 in Orange, N.J. to James T. Milway and Helen Driscoll. He grew up in West Orange, N.J., attending Fairmount Ave. School. He worked for Sandoz in East Hanover as a materials handler for 20+ years. He had many friends and enjoyed traveling and his time living on West Point Island in Lavallette. While never married, he was active in the lives of his four nieces and nephew. He is survived by his brother James T. Milway Jr. and spouse Maryjane Hayde, and their children, Laura, Colleen, Timothy, Kerry and Jennifer. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Milway and his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta N.J. 07871 (973) 729-5530 on Thursday Feb. 14th from 3:00PM – 7:00PM. A funeral mass will be held Friday the 15th at 10:00AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 427 Stanhope Rd., Sparta. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Mostly, I remember Doug in Lavellette stopping by my mothers house for a cup of coffee and a good chat
that sometimes developed into a trip to Atlanta City. They were good company for each other.
