Edward "Eddie" James

Eddie was born in Port Jervis, NY to the late Marshall James and Fanny (nee Norris) James on June, 26, 1937. Eddie was a firefighter in Paterson, NJ for many years before his retirement.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife Karen, his daughter Deena Zawisha and husband Peter, son John and wife Mary James, son Christopher James, son Michael Geerhart and wife Jennifer, and son Gordon Geerhart and wife Laura. Eddie also leaves behind his grandchildren Hunter and Cooper James, Michael and Ava Geerhart, and his sister in law Patricia Euston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings; Shirley, Ruthie, Evelyn, Carol, Charles, and Richard. Eddie was also predeceased by his first wife, Rosemarie.

Visitation for Eddie will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 3:00PM - 7:00PM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will be held 10:30AM, Friday, December 6th at Sparta Cemetery, 32 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871.
