

Mr. Sullivan was born in New York City, NY, to Patrick and Anna (Quinlivan) Sullivan.
He attended New York public schools, received an electrical engineering degree from the RCA Institute in NY. He also held an amateur radio operator’s license. He worked as a welder in the Jersey City Ship Yards, and at sea as a radio operator for the Merchant Marines.
Mr. Sullivan was employed as an electrical engineer with Bell Laboratories in Whippany, NJ, retiring in 1987.
He served his country with the US Army as a staff sergeant and radio operator in World War II, serving in Italy and North Africa.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Tena (Benanti) Sullivan, two sons; Edward of Fort Worth, Texas, and Larry and his wife Maureen of Sparta, New Jersey, Four Grandchildren; Colleen and Sean of Sparta, and Matthew and Katie of Texas.
Family and Friends are invited Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. A 1 pm Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday at Blessed Kateri Tekawitha RC Church 427 Stanhope Rd, Sparta. Friends are invited following Mass to join with the family at Lafayette House.
