Beloved wife of the late John A. Abraham Jr, they married May 9, 1966. They resided in South Amboy, NJ until moving to Baltimore MD in 1969. During that time, Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and many other crafts. They moved back to South Brunswick, NJ in 1980. While there, Betty and John made stained glass creations such as Tiffany Lamps, and window pieces. In 1993, they moved to South Boston, VA where they stayed for 5 years before returning to the NorthEast to be near their family and grandchildren. Betty’s beloved husband passed away in December of 2012. Betty chose to spend the next 6 years getting more involved in her church, St. John’s in East Stroudsburg, PA and their Senior Group. She also started bowling again, being on 2 different teams.
In 2018, Betty decided she was going to move to Florida with her cousin Dianne Hansen and her husband, Howard. While in the midst of packing up her house, Betty was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer, with metastasis to the brain. Betty moved in with her daughter and received treatment. Once she completed treatment, she was able to travel and went to Florida for 9 months before moving back to NJ with her daughter and son in law. Betty continued her fight with cancer and exceeded the doctors expectations by 12 months.
John and Betty had a daughter, Jacquie Edwards, married to John, and 2 granddaughters, Meghan (22) and Kayla (20). Betty had a step-daughter, Susan Wanstall, 2 granddaughters, Samantha and Falon, and one great granddaughter, Trudy. Betty is survived by her brother, James Foti of Chula Vista, CA.
