

Frank E. Brantigan, 91, of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away on August 26, 2016 with his daughter and son in law at his side. Frank was born in Newark and was a resident of Glen Rock since 1954. He was a proud WWll Army veteran serving at the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. Frank returned from the war and drove a delivery truck for Ballantine Breweries in Newark for 25 years and retired in 1989 from Anheuser Busch. He was a member of the Thomas D Egan VFW Post 850 in Glen Rock; a member of the Association of Mature Parishioners (AMPs) at St. Catharines Church in Glen Rock and the Live Wires in Fairlawn. Frank was the handyman of the neighborhood; being skilled in woodworking, electrical work and anything that needed to be fixed. He loved to dance, enjoyed music and gardening and being around people. Frank had a warm heart, a gentle soul, a contagious smile and was a wonderful listener. He will be missed by many. Frank is predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Florence Babcock Brantigan and his beloved late friend Maura Reilly. He is survived by his devoted daughter Patricia Kane and her husband Dr. Frank L. Kane of Sparta, NJ, grandsons; Frank and Michael Kane of Sparta and many nieces, great nieces and great great nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, August 29, 2016 from 4-8pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A mass of Christian burial will be held 11am Tuesday at St. Catharine’s Catholic Church, 905 Maple Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Mausoleum, Paramus, NJ.
