Helen Patricia Cassidy

Helen Patricia Cassidy, 90, of Sparta, NJ passed away on March 10, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in County Leitrim, Ireland and came to the US in 1956 settling in New York City. Helen lived in West Orange for 54 years before moving to Sparta in 2004. She was a member of the Sparta Seniors, Our Lady of Lourdes Rosary Society on W. Orange, and she volunteered her time working at the Mouse Thrift Shop at the Sparta Methodist Church in Sparta. Helen is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert Cassidy who passed in 2009. She is survived by her devoted children: Robert H. Cassidy of Lincoln Park; Anne Novak and her husband John of Sparta and Patricia Cantor and her husband Richard of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Marlayna, Michelle, Joe, Kaitlyn, Megan, John Jr and Danielle and 2 great grandsons: Logan and Colson. Friends may call Sunday 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 10am Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will follow at St. Thomas of Aquin Cemetery, Ogdensburg, NJ.
