Irene E. Vinciguerra

Irene grew up in Queens, NY. She graduated from Montclair State College with a degree in math and worked as a teacher and in banking before raising a family in New Milford, NJ, with summers spent at Sparta Lake in Sparta, NJ. In retirement, Irene enjoyed traveling internationally and documenting her trips with photographs and journals. She was devoted to her rescue dog, Dixie.

Irene is survived by two of her four children, Irene Brokaw and Karen Vinciguerra, her grandchildren, Jessica (Derrick) Shearer, Erik Brokaw, and Kristofer Brokaw, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Frederick Paul, her daughter Donna Lynne, and her husband Frederick.

The family will receive friends and visitors at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church 294 Sparta Avenue, Sparta, NJ on Friday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652.
