John C. Bennett, 85, of Sparta, NJ died on November 17, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Chicago, IL and was raised in Summit, NJ and moved to Sparta in 1972. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWll. John worked in the area as a landscaper and handyman for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth Fowler Bennett; 3 loving daughters, Robin Murphy, Barbara Sullivan, and Nancy Baldwin; sister Joy Hartshorn, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
