Joseph R. DiLascio Jr.

Joseph DiLascio was born in Newark, NJ to Joseph DiLascio Sr. and Emma Gencarelli. He grew up with his sister Phyllis DiLascio and his cousins.

Joseph met his wife, Domenica Governale, in High school and was married on September 7, 1963. Domenica DiLascio recently passed away on May 8, 2022.

Joseph DiLascio joined the United States Air force on November 14, 1961, and was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base until November 13, 1967, when he was honorably discharged.

Joseph and Domenica lived in Nutley NJ where they raised their four children. Joseph DiLascio attended Bloomfield College where he received a BA in Computer Science. They eventually moved to Lak Mohawk in Sparta where Joseph loved subbing at the Sparta High School.

Joseph is predeceased by his wife Domenica DiLascio, his father Joseph DiLascio Sr, and his mother Emma DiLascio. Joseph is survived by his four children and their spouses, Joseph and Dawn DiLascio, AnnMarie and Dominick Tucci, Sandra and Anthony Sica, and Theresa and Chris Orleanski. He is also survived by his sister Phyllis DiLascio and her wife Simone Mastroeni, as well as nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11AM.
