Joseph A. Pietrucha

Joseph A. Pietrucha, 90, of Sparta, passed away on December 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born in Newark and was a resident of Sparta for 56 years. He was a proud member of the United States Army serving in WWll. Joseph worked for IBM as a Customer service engineer retiring in 1988 after 37 years. He was a member of the Marquette Council of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta. For many years Joseph was active in bowling in Sparta. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Edna Wojciehowski Pietrucha; devoted children: Joan Cabiness and her husband Howard of Ellicott City, MD; Dr Lawrence Pietrucha and his wife Audrey of Bennington, VT; Mary Ann Aslinger and her husband Jerry of Montclair, VA; and Stephen Pietrucha of Sparta; loving grandfather of: Jeffrey, Ann, Daniel, Emily, Elizabeth, Andrew, John and Matthew and great grandfather of: William, Abigail, Katherine and Sophie. Friends may call Sunday, December 18th, 2016 from 2-6pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will be held at 11am Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ 07871. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Green Township, New Jersey.
