Karin C. Takacs

Sparta, NJ- Karin C. Takacs, peacefully went home to the Lord, at the home of her daughter. She was 75. Karin was born in Heidelberg, Germany to Helmut and Lucia Jauch, and immigrated to the US in 1960 after meeting and marrying her husband, Louis Takacs who was stationed in Germany. She has resided in Sparta for the past 55 years, living previously in Garfield. Karin was very active in her children’s lives during their formative years, as president of the Garfield PTO, and helping the Sparta football booster club. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta, and Holy Name Church in Garfield. Karin’s greatest love was caring for her cherished nine grandchildren with whom she spent many hours. She was much loved, and will be missed by all. Predeceasing her is her beloved husband Louis in 1986. Surviving Karin is her loving son Louis III and his wife Natalie of Sparta. Two daughters, Dr. Michele Takacs and her husband Lawrence Lore of Sparta, and Dr. Susan Cunico and her husband Marc of Sandyston. Nine grandchildren, Philip, Brielle, Morgan, Dan, Connor, Alexandra, Bayleigh, Lauren, and Louis Hunter IV. Family and friends are invited Tuesday, 2~ 4 & 7~9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ. 07871. A 10 am Wednesday Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church 294 Newton Sparta Rd. Sparta, NJ.
