Tom and I met Kathy when our boys played Little League baseball. She was a very caring and enthusiastic parent and supporter  for the players, especially  those that  were the underdogs. Over the years  we would occasionally see her in town. Again,  we would always reminisce about the fun times as Sparta Little League Parents. We  are saddened to read  about her passing. May She  Rest in Peace.

Ms. Scehovic was my Guidance Counselor at North Junior in the late 70's. She was one of not so many educators that communicated well with me back then. She was upbeat, caring, and it was clear she wanted the best for her students, and motivated them towards that. We met again many years later at the school. She was the same positive and smiling person that I remembered. My prayers are with her and her family.

Kathy was a good family friend and a valuable and professional colleague at North Junior High and Bloomfield Middle School.  As a guidance counselor she touched and improved many lives.  We will all miss her.

I remember Kathy and Joey very well from Camp Hugh Beaver. I had the honor of attending their wedding and reception at camp, My parents known as Mr and Mrs Cook at camp  and they  catered their reception as well as attend.  I'm so sorry for your loss Joey and family. I've thought of both of you over the years. RIP Kathy

My dear sister dedicated her life to her students. She touched so many lives and they are all so much better for it. Her caring heart and beautiful smile would brighten everyone’s day!

I will always remember Kathy coming to Wesley Chapel Church in Rock Hall Maryland and singing with her sister Karen.  They could make beautiful music together.  She was a very sweet and kind person.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially Karen

Ms. Scehovic is a very special person who helped me have a more positive outlook on my life. I will never forget how she helped me navigate going to a different high school than all of my friends. If it hadn't been for her convincing me that this was the right thing to do for my future, I can't imagine what my life would be like today.

Thank you Ms. Scehovic! I will miss you and I will always remember how you were there for me.

I will forever be grateful to Kathy for teaching us so many wonderful songs  (John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt) at our children's  Boy Scout Pack meetings, Troop 150.  She was so giving and always had a smile on her face! Later in life I saw her again at the Sparta Senior Center doing exercise and keeping that smile on her face as she faced her challenges head on. You will be missed Kathy!

Dear Kathy,

I met you in the 7th grade, and I will never forget how you made other people feel.  For me; accepted and loved for who I am.  You truly made an impact on me, my friends, my family; and I can confidently say that you are one of the many reasons I wanted to help so many people in Bloomfield as a teacher.  Thank you for everything you have done for the students of Bloomfield.  I will never forget you.  God bless.

I remember Kathy fondly from our teenage years together in Oakhurst NJ at the  Oakhurst Methodist Church .  We sang in the choir along with Kathy's sister Karen and our friends Diane and Joy Serine.  We were part of the Methodist Youth Group and  we also rode the bus to Asbury Park High School together from our Oakhurst neighborhood.    Kathy, Karen and I loved the Supremes and we used to follow all of their hits from the 1960's.   She was always a great friend and her positive attitude  still influences my life all these  years later.  Rest in peace Kathy.  You deserve it.
