Konrad was born in the Bronx, New York in 1938 to Konrad Frank Sr. and Paula (Petzold) Frank. He attended Stuyvesant High School before becoming a sales engineer for IBM. While serving in the United States Air Force in 1961-1962, he was stationed in Hermeskeil, Germany, and it was there that he met his cherished wife, Irmgard. The pair married in 1963 and soon after moved into the home that Konrad built for them in Sparta, New Jersey.
Konrad was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed camping across the US and Canada. He was a great storyteller with many experiences to share.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Irmgard; his brother, Bob (and wife Patty); his daughter, Christine; his son, Peter (and wife Luz Maria); his granddaughter, Amanda; and his dog, Benji.

Visitation will be held at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 11:00AM - 12:15PM, followed by a Prayer Service at 12:15 PM
Graveside Service will immediately follow at Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 75 N Church Rd, Sparta, NJ 07871.
