Lew was a loving brother who called often to see how I was. How are you, Baby, he would say, even though I am older. I will miss him very much.

Lou was a gentleman. He was the first to welcome us into the neighborhood 25 years ago and always had a smile and a kind word. I will miss talking to him over our driveways!
Last summer, he had a beautiful owl carved from wood made to sit on top of a tree between our houses. He then painted the owl realistically and told me the owl was there to protect the neighborhood.
Lou always tried to protect his family and friends as well. I know he will still be looking down with love and strength for all of you. Please find strength and support in each other as you get through the tough times ahead.
We will keep him and your family in our prayers.

The entire Brown family were so much a part of my boys John Jr and Steven lives. Sean and Steven were and still are like blood brothers. Steven lived at the Browns house as much as his own. The memories are too many to mention but live on in our hearts. Cris and Lewis always took such great care with love and those days will never be forgotten. Just know that our family deeply cares and wish we could take away your pain.

Lew was such a pleasant man, someone you enjoyed seeing everyday. Loved talking to him about his time with the airlines. And I know that he was a good friend to his many friends. We'll miss him here.

Cristina, Lisa, Phil, Lewis and Sean — you have my deepest condolences.
My memories of uncle Lewis are of a very warm, kind man. A man who smiled often and easily. A man who I very much enjoyed being with. A man who I wish I had been in the presence of more often. A man who was taken from this world much too soon.
I am sure his warm and kind spirit will always be in your hearts (and also in mine).

The Brown ‘s were and are the definition of family. They opened their home to everyone. I will always thank them for that. I just always remember Mr. Brown sitting on the recliner watching the Giants game on Sundays. Always asking how you were doing as he followed all of us in whatever sport we were playing. Cristina being everone’s Second mother as we played dominos in the kitchen. He loved Sparta sports and was always so supportive as we developed and got older. Thank you Mr Brown and the entire family for opening your home and making us all feel so special. Prayers to Cristina, Lisa, Phil, Lou and Sean. (And the grandkids). Thank you. FB

Papa Lou, as we the Jones family knew him, was and will always be one amazing fellow! We had the pleasure of meeting him some years ago when our son Terrance relocated to Sparta NJ and became part of the Brown family. He accepted our son as one of his own grandchildren and made him feel nothing less then amazing! He will be sadly missed by us all..... Our deepest condolences go out to the entire family during their time of bereavement. Thank you all for sharing Papa Lou with us. You will forever be in our Thoughts and Prayers.... Until we meet again Papa Lou Brown, Rest in the Heavens above..... we love you always!!!!!

Few People in life are as original, caring and genuine as Lou. I am sixty this year and still can remember Lou taking me fishing because my father would seldom be around. I remember babysitting that clan, so Lou and Christina could have a hard earned night out. Then late in life hearing Lou brag about all of his grandchildren. Lou, I will miss your humor and fellowship at the Village, your sports knowledge and the laughs. Thanks for serving this country in the Air Force and for being my friend. prayers for you and the family.
