Linda Ward

Linda was born in Montclair, NJ, and moved to the Lake Mohawk section of Sparta 39 years ago. Linda worked as a realtor for Coldwell Banker in Sparta and in more recent years worked as a private home health aide helping families throughout Sussex County. She was a ferocious competitor in the Sparta Women’s Bowling League, the Lake Mohawk Summer Volleyball League and enjoyed many years of fun at Tamarack Beach. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, sewing, chair-caning, gardening, playing cards and Scrabble. Linda was an avid supporter of all her children and grandchildren’s activities and lived her entire, selfless life for her family. Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband John Ward.

She is survived by daughter Jennifer Phillips, her husband Reginald and their children Lindsey and Nathan; daughter Leslie Biondi and her daughter Ashley; son Jeffrey, his wife Monica and their son Jake; daughter Stephanie Eno, her husband James and their children Emily and Christopher; and daughter Melissa White, her husband David and their daughters Schyler and Ryleigh. Linda is also survived by her brother Hubert “Budd” Sloat.

Friends may call Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta where they can share their fond memories of Linda.
