Born on June 20, 1944 to the late Elinore (nee Liden) and Albert Beighley, Lynn was raised in West Orange, NJ. Growing up within a mile of Verona Park, Lynn shared those childhood memories with her children; feeding the ducks paddling around Verona Lake, fishing along the shoreline beside the boathouse, sledding down the hill along Bloomfield Ave., and enjoying the changes in scenery of the park from one season to the next.
Lynn is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Theodore as well as both her parents and brother Neil. She leaves behind her son, Kevin Gromosaik (wife Amanda) of Boca Raton, Florida; her daughter, Kimberly Ryan (husband Brett) of Sparta, NJ; as well as, seven (7) grandchildren who affectionately called her “Mema”: Aiden Theodore, Brady, Colin, Kendyl, Brickell, Cutler Theo and Medley. She also leaves behind her brother Bruce Beighley of Allamuchy, NJ.
Lynn’s strength could not be measured by her petite stature. “You have to suffer to be beautiful” was a playful expression she enjoyed, but it served as a testament to her strong will and perseverance. When facing life’s challenges her beauty grew considerably from the inside out, and it seemed that others were drawn to it – as many chance encounters became long lasting friendships. Her love for her father and mother, two brothers, husband, son, daughter and grandchildren was unwavering. Holiday dinners, which included dessert, afforded her the most favorable time to share that love, establishing traditions that her children now carry on for their own. Along the way, she gave everyone the greatest gift that one can give - which we revisit every holiday season – the gift of warm memories.
Lynn’s family would like to thank the aides and nurses with The Oaks at Denville, who were truly angels placed by God in their lives - surrounding Lynn with kindness, love and care. We are forever grateful and may God bless them, always.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th from 11:30AM-1:30 PM at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00-2:15 PM at Sparta Presbyterian Methodist Cemetery.
