

Margaret Mary Maulbeck Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Margaret Mary Maulbeck was born on April 14, 1924. She was the middle child of three children of Mary and Frederick Behling. She was a lifelong New Jersey resident, living her childhood mostly in her beloved "the Oranges." Margaret graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School and soon after married Benedict Maulbeck on Dec. 17, 1949. During their marriage of over 50 years, they had eight children and lived in Summit, N.J., for almost the entire time. Margaret dedicated herself to being a homemaker and creating a contented household for her family. She also participated in many volunteer activities for her church, St. Teresa of Avila, and was always available for babysitting for a number of families in the neighborhood, which gave both her and the children great joy. Margaret's older brother, Frederick, died while serving in the armed forces in World War II; however, her younger sister, Frances, survives her. Her husband, Benedict, died in 2003 at the age of 76. In addition, Margaret's two daughters, Theresa and Mary, are also deceased. Her six sons Carl, Peter, Martin, Michael, Gregor, and Mark, are married and live in the area along with their spouses. Margaret is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, followed by interment at St. Teresa's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave., Summit, N.J.
