Maria was born on August 10, 1913 to Jacob and Margaret Teloy (Bolten) in Germany, and immigrated to the United States. She quickly gained her citizenship, in which made her extremely proud. Maria was a longtime resident of Sparta for over 50 years. She was a member of the Sparta Senior Citizens and held the Hospitality Committee position for many years.
Maria is predeceased by her beloved spouse, Gustav in 1972, and a daughter in law, Marie Friedberg. Surviving her are two daughters; Margaret and husband, Anthony Badalamenti, Ingrid and husband Robert Haskell. A son; James Friedberg, a sister; Kaethe Marx in Germany, 10 Grand children and 13 Great Grandchildren.
