West Orange, NJ – Matthew Brian Hakoun died on Thursday May 14, 2015. He was 40 years old. Matthew was born in Sparta, NJ. He graduated from Sparta High School in 1993, and received a BS from Montclair State University. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and scuba diving. Matt loved being with his family, enjoying time together. He was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed. Surviving him is his loving wife of 11 years, Eva Hakoun, his mother; Carolyn Bevelheimer (Clifford) of Vernon, N.J., His father; Mitchell Hakoun (Barbara) of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., a sister; Tara Rodriguez (Orlando) of Sparta. Two nieces; Arianna and Lainey Rodriguez, A nephew; Cristian “Booey” Rodriguez. Maternal grandmother; Lois Lund., and two aunts; Laurie Severet, and Jill Sauro.
