Normand R. Bergeron, 79 of Lafayette passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Dover. Born on April 13, 1934, in Rhode Island, Normand was the son of the late Edmond and Marie Bergeron. He lived in Sussex County his entire life. Normand worked for Jersey Central Power and Light Company for 38 years. Norm was interested in community service and politics and served as Vice-President of the Newton Jaycees in the 1960’s. He was named in the 1966 edition of Outstanding Young Men of America. Normand was a long time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Newton. Normand loved and was so proud of his family. In turn they loved him and will deeply miss him. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Beverly (Morgan) Bergeron. Also surviving are his daughter, Meredith Kylish of Sparta, and his daughter and son-in law Kim and Joel Branham of Hampton Township and a sister Rose Marie Felsheim of Sparta. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren Logan, Ryan, Alicia, and Samantha Kylish, Tyler and Troy Branham, and two great-grandchildren Gabrielle and Rowen. Visitation will be held on Friday, at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta from 9-12 am, with a funeral service and interment following.
