Mummum loved her family, her pets, her neighbors, and her job. She was the perfect example of selflessness, offering her help to anyone who needed it. As a believer in Jesus, she truly resembled how to live by her beliefs. Mummum was the most loving person, and as she would always say, “Only Mummums can love you the mostest.”
Phyllis is predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene Maguire. She is survived by her son Shawn Hilling, three granddaughters Kaileigh, Isabelle, and Alexandra Hilling, her siblings Brian Hilling of Atlanta, Georgia, Alana Meyer of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Lynn Christiansen of Mahwah, New Jersey, Helen Maher of Melbourne Florida, Tyler Hilling of Utah, and their spouses, her sister in law Kathleen Maguire O'Connor of Melbourne, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in her name where she was a long-term contributor.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 4 pm - 7 pm, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 10 am at Goble Funeral home with interment to follow at Sparta Cemetery.
