Richard A. Gonnelli

Richard A. Gonnelli, 75, of Lafayette, NJ passed away at home on June 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newark and lived there until moving to Lafayette in 1979. Richard was a graduate of Newark State Teacher’s College, class of 1964. He was a teacher for the Newark Board of Education, retiring in 2002. Richard is survived by his beloved wife Gina Lemaldi Gonnelli; devoted sons: Adam and his wife Julie of Red Bank; Richard and his wife Megan of Bedminster, and Michael and his wife Jennifer of Oakland, CA. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Catherine, Evelyn, Hallet, and Giovanni; his sister Joan Seabird and her husband John and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, June 30, from 9am-11am at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral mass will follow at 11:30am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
