Richard L James

Richard L. James, 90, of Mansfield Township, NJ, formerly of Franklin and Sparta, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019. Richard was born in Port Jervis, NY to the late Marshall and Fannie James. He was a WWll United States Army Veteran. Richard was a retired truck driver and loved spending his leisure time bowling and dancing. He is predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Malatesta) James, his son Rickie, brother Charles (Buddy) James, and sisters: Shirley Zaleski, Ruth DeProspo, Carolyn James, and Evelyn Ogorzaly. Richard is survived by a daughter Lisa Dombayci, brother Edward James and his wife Karen and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate his life on Sunday, January 12, 2019 from 2-6pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday at the funeral home. Army Funeral Honors will be offered at Sparta Cemetery at 12noon Monday.
