Robert F. Castellano, 59, of Sparta passed away on December 19, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Irvington, NJ and lived in West Milford, NJ before moving to Sparta in 1987. He was a proud US Air Force Veteran and a member of the Pompton HOG. Bob coached girls’ softball in Sparta for 10 years and played on and sponsored Castellano Contracting in the Men’s Softball League in Sparta. He was the owner and operator of Castellano Contracting LLC in Sparta for 30 years. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Karen (nee Schaffer) Castellano, devoted daughter Gina Castellano; father-in-law EJ Schaffer. He is predeceased by his brothers: Anthony, Michael, and Daniel. Friends may gather from 4-7pm Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. A Blessing with be said at 7PM Monday at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to: The Chordoma Foundation, PO Box 2127, Durham, NC 27702.
