I remember back in Vietnam while serving with Sal and we happened to be talking about our music preferences and I told my soon to be Friend how much I loved Franky Vali and the four seasons . Sal was quick to enlighten me to the fact they are originally from " Newark " New Jersey. Sal, in my mind will always be one one of the " Original " Jersey Boy's

I have been a neighbor to Sal and his wife for the past five years. They have been nothing but kind to us and our son. I always enjoyed my talks with Sal. He was a kind man and a great neighbor. He will be missed.

A great great friend that served with me in Vietnam. Always a smile on his face. I never got to see him face to face after Vietnam but was a pleasure talking to him on the phone. I wanted so much for him and Rose Marie to make one of our 13 or so reunions. He will never be forgotten and sorely missed. A true and blue Navy Seabee. Sal we'll see you on the other side. Rest in peace my brother and fellow Bee.

Although it's been years since you lived in Silver Lake I hold all those memories of you, your sister Marie, Uncle "Red" and Aunt Connie close to my heart. My father was so proud you followed in his footsteps and joined the Navy. You served your country with pride. The memories I have of us growing up in Silver Lake I will always hold close to my heart. Till we meet again Cousin, R.I.P.

A fellow Seabee with who I served with in Vietnam. No doubt, the dearest person I will ever have called Friend in my life. To your Family and friends Sal, we are surely going to miss You. Dear Lord in Heaven, please comfort the Gammaro Family during this sad time and give them comfort in knowing that one day, we will all meet again. If I'm fortunate enough to meet Sal again on the other side of the moon, I hope I can hear him say, Hey Gary I've got Pepperon ! Rest in peace my dear Friend.
