Salvatore R. Romano, 69, of Oak Ridge, New Jersey passed away on March 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Sal was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, and was a 1972 graduate of Jersey City University with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. He was a special education teacher for 25 years retiring in 1997 from West Orange High School. Sal loved his corvette and rides on the motorcycle with Alice but most of all he loved spending time with his children, family and good friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Alice Shamsey Romano; devoted children: Kristen Romano of Chicago and Salvatore Romano of Franklin, New Jersey and his father Salvatore Romano. Salvatore is also survived by his sister Judy Quist and her husband David; sisters-in-law Donna Radano and Loretta Corbett and her husband Guy; mother-in-law Etta Shamsey and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
