Valerie Martha Reilly

Stockholm, NJ - Valerie Martha Reilly (Ross) went home to the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family and a close friend. She was 64 years old. Valerie was born in Franklin, NJ to George and Elizabeth (Talmadge) Ross and was a lifelong resident of Stockholm. She was employed for 30 years as the manager of Arby’s Restaurant in Franklin until it closed in 2014. Valerie touched the lives of her customers and developed close relationships with her employees. She loved to collect silver spoons from various places she visited. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing cards with her family and friends, and visiting casinos to try her luck at "Deal or No Deal." Valerie is predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Horace, and Kevin Ross, and two sisters, Velma Sanders and Audrey Talmadge. Surviving her is her loving daughter, Samantha, of Stockholm, her sisters, Uldine Ross and Barbara Rinkel of Stockholm, Marlene (Mike) Owens of Vernon, her brothers, Wayne (Nanci) Ross and Vance (Nancy) Ross, all of Stockholm, Durwin (Brenda) Ross of Franklin, Edward (Donna) Ross of Montague, and George (Judy) Ross of Tennessee, sisters-in-law, Diane Ross and Maryann Ross of Stockholm, and Helen Ross of Ogdensburg, her goddaughter and niece, Lisa Grillo of Hackettstown, and many additional nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm to Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871. An 11am Tuesday funeral home service will be celebrated followed by interment in North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, 32 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871 in memory of Valerie M. Reilly.
